Giving Tuesday Donations
The Dragonfly Foundation,
Cincinnati Children’s Hospital
In honor of #GivingTuesday, 2016, Advantage RN donated to The Dragonfly Foundation which supporting patients (from birth – 30 and from the day of diagnosis until five years after treatment) at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital who are enduring cancer and bone marrow transplants. Since 2010, the Foundation has been credited with helping to “change the paradigm of patient care” by healing the hearts and spirits of these patients as well as their siblings/offsprings and patients/caregivers. Patients and families say that the Foundation is the “club they never wanted to join, but now never want to leave.”
The isolation and drastic changes that occur in the lives of Dragonfly patients and families make every day a struggle emotionally, mentally, and financially. The Foundation’s goal is to bring a little joy and comfort to these patients and their families and to help each child realize their unique specialness beyond their diagnosis.

Make-A-Wish, November, 2016
Also in honor of #GivingTuesday, 2016, Advantage RN announced its commitment to sponsoring a wish child for Make-A-Wish. As you know, Make A Wish grants wishes to children with life threatening medical conditions. Doctors, nurses and other health professionals claim that a wish that comes true helps children feel stronger, more energetic and more willing and able to battle their life-threatening medical conditions. Make-A-Wish grants a wish, on average, every 35 minutes.
Since 1983, our local Make-A-Wish chapter (OH, KY, IN), has granted 15,000 wishes to area children. Coming soon to Advantage RN to share with us his experience is three-year-old wish recipient Clay (and his parents) who will discuss Clay’s journey with neuroblastoma cancer (he recently had his post bone-marrow transplant follow-up checkup, and received a good report!) and his granted wish to DisneyWorld! We’ll find out more about our Wish recipient in the following months. Stay tuned! For more information and inspiration about Make-A-Wish, please click here: http://wish.org.
