St. Vincent De Paul
For adults and families in the Dayton, OH area who are on the brink of becoming homeless or who are already homeless, St Vincent de Paul provides person-to-person emergency assistance and supportive services.
St. Vincent de Paul annually serves over 100,000 people each year, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our help begins with person-to-person assistance, giving emergency assistance with utilities, food, clothing, furniture and many other services to those in need.
Our help continues when a person becomes homeless when St. Vincent de Paul is also there to offer shelter and hope. During the course of any given day their shelters serve between 300-400 men, women and children providing daily meals, showers, clothing, personal care items, mail and messaging services, and access to full-time case managers who assist our guests in achieving housing based on their individual needs. Each year nearly 4,000 people come to us for shelter. While most only stay for a short period of time, we annually help more than 1,400 individuals transition from the shelter into permanent housing.
