Meet Kelley R., RN

I have been a nurse for nine years and a travel nurse for two. My nursing career goal from the start was to be travel nurse as I always enjoyed traveling.

What I like most about travel nursing is that I get to enjoy traveling the country with my BFF — aka my husband – and, at the same time, I get to enjoy regular time with my children and grandchildren who live in different states. (more…)

Chelsey W., R.N., Shares Her Travel Nurse Tips

When asked what piece of advice she would offer new travel nurses, Chelsey said “Never be afraid to ask for help. There are lots of things you’re not going to know right away – policies, doctors, where things are kept, the computer system – but everything is going to be okay. You just need to be flexible and not panic.”

Chelsey has been a travel nurse for the last two years. She’s traveled across the U.S. from New Hampshire to Washington State with her two cats. She transports them in a large dog crate which allows them to have their litter box, food, water, and a comfortable place to rest on the road. She even purchased a luggage holder for on top of her car to give them all the room they need. (more…)
